Our Installation Process
Every WestLift installation follows a structured 6-stage workflow that typically completes in 4-8 weeks, depending on building height and elevator model. Each stage is documented and signed off before the next begins, so you always know exactly where your project stands.
1. Site Survey & Engineering
On-site assessment of the shaft dimensions, machine room space, electrical capacity, and building structure. Our engineers produce technical drawings tailored to your facility and confirm load calculations before procurement.
2. Equipment Procurement
Components are ordered directly from our partner factories — Akra (Turkey) for passenger systems and Emko (Europe) for construction lifts. Drives, control panels, and door mechanisms are sourced from certified German, Italian, and Japanese manufacturers.
3. Shaft Preparation
Shaft cleaning, rail alignment, pit waterproofing, and installation of the buffer system and machine room platform. Civil works that fall outside scope are flagged early so your contractor can complete them on schedule.
4. Mechanical & Electrical Installation
Cabin assembly, counterweight installation, traction or hydraulic drive mounting, control cabinet wiring, and door operator setup. All wiring meets EN 81-20/50 safety standards and local electrical code.
5. Testing & Commissioning
Full load tests, overspeed governor tests, brake performance checks, emergency rescue verification, and door safety sensor calibration. We document every test and provide the inspection certificate required for commissioning.
6. Handover & Warranty
Operator training for your facility staff, full technical documentation package, and a 12-month warranty on all WestLift-supplied components. Optional extended maintenance contracts begin after the warranty period ends.
